Maduka
This is Madushani, or Maduka as she likes to be called. Maduka is 12 and lives in an orphanage in Sri Lanka with her older sister. She has 2 older sisters as well as a younger sister and brother. Although Maduka is at the orphanage she does have a mother but they are destitute so the orphange has taken in the two girls. Maduka is a very loving girl and writes me wonderful letters on a regular basis.
Update:- I am very sad to report I no longer sponsor Maduka as she has chosen to go home and live with her mother and siblings. While I am happy that she is with her family I am saddened that we won't have the contact as before.
Nilanthi is 15 years old and lives at an orphanage in Sri Lanka.
